Shannon Phillips
Technician and Dog Trainer
Shannon has lived in Aiken all of her life, and has been with Silver Bluff Animal Hospital since she began volunteering in February of 1996. She began working full time in 1998 and has been a Veterinary Assistant here ever since. Shannon also obtained her Dog Obedience Instructor degree from Penn Foster College. Together with her coworker, Stefanie Crain, she trains dogs at Silver Bluff Animal Hospital (please see Silver Bluff Dog Training for more information). In 2001, she married Justin Phillips, who owns his own business, Total Lawn Care. They have a son, Lucas Gabriel and a daughter, Riley Elaine. She has 3 dogs, Cricket, Snookie, and Cash. Shannon enjoys horseback riding, showing Cash, going to the mountains and spending time with her family and friends. Shannon is also a Professional Wildlife Rehabilitator and enjoys going to conferences to further her education.
Stefanie Crain
Technician and Dog Trainer
Stefanie has lived in Aiken since 1996. She has been a Veterinary Assistant at Silver Bluff Animal Hospital since 1997. She is married to Travis Crain and they have one son named Trevor. They have two cats, and two dogs, Little Man and Vegas. She also teaches the Obedience class for Silver Bluff Dog Training. She attended Tom Rose Dog Training School in St. Louis MO, and trained for Libby Strout with All Paws Dog Training.
Renee Girardeau
Client Care Specialist
Renee has lived in Aiken since 1985 and works at Silver Bluff Animal Hospital as a receptionist. She is married to Ed, who works as a real estate appraiser. They have been married since 1988 and have a son named Tripp who will be graduating from USC in Dec 2011. They have 5 cats, Christmas, Winkie, Petal, Squeaky and Baby Blink. and 3 Dogs Gracie, Hemi and Batman. She loves to go to the beach, read, and cook.
Lori Colindres
Technician and Office Manager
Lori grew up in rural upstate New York. She moved to Aiken with her son Trevor in December 2000. She began working at Silver Bluff Animal Hospital in January 2001 as a receptionist and soon started assisting the doctors as a technician. Lori was promoted to Office Manager in 2007 however, she still continues to assist as a technician and receptionist whenever needed. Lori graduated from Aiken Tech in 2005 with a AA degree. She attended Penn Foster College in the Veterinary Tech program and passed the National Veterinary Technician Exam in 2010. Lori lives with her husband Carlos and her two sons Trevor and Mateo. Lori has two dogs and a cat. Outside of Silver Bluff Animal Hospital Lori is an active advocate for families with special needs children. She is a team leader for GRACE, a ministry for special needs children at Cedar Creek Church, and founder of Aiken Center for Exceptional Families, a newly developing non profit organization.
Jillian "Jill" Platt
Technician
Jill has lived in Aiken her whole life and plans to stay here to raise her family. She attended the Aiken Technical College Veterinary Assistant class in 2000. She has been working at Silver Bluff Animal Hospital as a surgical and veterinary assistant since 2001. Jill enjoys traveling and painting and outdoor activities. She is married to Ed Platt, who owns Platinum Renovations in Aiken. They have one child named Noah. Jill lives on a farm and currently has 5 dogs (Buddha, Winston, Daisy, Grady and Millie), 6 cats (Toby, TJ, Noriega, Monkey, Willie, and Stinky). Her mission is to educate and inform people of the importance of spaying and neutering their pets.
Andrea
Technician
Andrea has lived in Graniteville all of her life. In 2005 she attended Aiken Technical College where she received her certification as a Veterinary Assistant. She has been working with animals ever since. She has been working at Silver Bluff Animal Hospital since March 2007. Andrea has four dogs(Gabby, Meeka, Carolina, and Petey) and two cats (Tiger and Chaos). Andrea also enjoys going to the lake and beach, and going fishing with her husband.

Jackie Scherman, LVT
Technician
Jackie attended Tri-County Technical College and received her Associate degree in Veterinary Technology in May 2009. She is originally from Columbia, SC but has now been living in Aiken and working at Silver Bluff Animal Hospital since March of 2010. She has 3 rescued cats, Kobi, Reeses, and Takumi, a Columbian redtail boa, and a Pomeranian named Meeko. In her spare time Jackie enjoys watching movies, reading, inline skating, listening to music and spending time with her Husband, friends, and family.
Kim Ward
Technician
Kim was raised in Aiken and has been with Silver Bluff Animal Hospital since 2010. She and her husband, Billy have 3 children, Wylie, Ryan, and Meghan. They enjoy traveling and camping together and especially enjoy the beach and mountains. Always along for the ride is Lenny, a standard dachshund adopted from the Aiken SPCA. Kim's family also has 3 other dogs, Tara, Shiloh and Ginger and 4 cats, Savannah, Mitts, Dusty and Tiger. All, like Lenny, are rescue pets.
